Wendy Wears it Pink

 103_0391.JPG

Wendy Alexander is joining forces with Breast Cancer Campaign in its award winning ‘wear it pink’ day on Friday 27 October as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The Paisley North MSP is urging people in Renfrewshire to wear something pink and donate £2 to the charity to help its research for a cure for the disease.  Last year’s campaign raised £1.7 million and the charity is hoping to raise more than £2 million this year.

Ms Alexander said: “Every year 1500 women in Scotland die from breast cancer.

“Breast Cancer Campaign does an excellent job of trying to reduce that number by raising money for vital research into the disease.”

“I urge people in Renfrewshire to support this worthy cause by wearing it pink with friends, family and colleagues on Friday.”
