TWEEDIE HALL TO BE KEPT IN USE

Wendy Alexander wrote to Council seeking reassurances on behalf of Linwood Elderly Forum and other user groups of the Tweedie Hall about plans during the building phase.

Wendy Alexander said:

“I welcome the fact Tweedie Hall will be open during much of the building phase because it will be the site of the new car park – and so need not be demolished till the last minute.  It is also good news for Linwood readers that the Library will move into the Tweedie Hall whilst the new Library is being built.

Now the challenge is to get the legal transfer to Tesco underway as soon as possible so the building work can finally start”.
