Wendy Alexander today stepped up calls for changes to the dangerous and noisy Arkleston Road roundabouts. Vehicles, including large vans and lorries, continuously power through at speed over the flat roundabout which leads to the M8 motorway.

- Figures don’t add up, again -
Renfrewshire SNP Council leader Derek Mackay, has once again tried and failed to defend budget “savings” in education. Following the revelation that incorrect figures of falling school rolls were used to justify the loss of 122 teachers last year, it now turns out that some of his other figures don’t add up.

A local football club whose dreams of glory were dashed by vandals has netted a cash boost from passengers at Glasgow Airport.
Gleniffer Thistle has invested heavily in a new pitch at Abbotsinch playing fields, but months of training ahead of the new season were undermined when vandals tore up the site earlier this month.

Labour has announced new support to help homeowners throughout the UK who fall on difficult times to avoid repossession of their homes.
Homeowners Mortgage Support (HMS) will enable eligible borrowers who suffer from a temporary loss of income to cut their mortgage interest payments for up to two years to help them get back on track with their finances.
