Today, local politician Wendy Alexander submitted her 766 signature strong petition to Renfrewshire Council as part of her campaign to reverse proposed music tuition cuts.

Yesterday official government statistics (1) revealed Renfrewshire axed 122 teachers last year – the third largest cut in Scotland after much larger councils Glasgow and Aberdeen. (more…)

Wendy switches off on Saturday… in support of WWF’s Earth Hour

Wendy Alexander MSP will join millions of people around the world in switching their non-essential lights off for one hour from 8.30pm on Saturday 28th March in support of WWF’s Earth Hour 2009.

‘It’s summit to be proud of!’

A GROUP of politicians attended a summit with a total of over 20 local voluntary and charitable organisations.
