EARLY PREVIEW OF 190 NEW LINWOOD HOMES
Wednesday, 15th July 2009- First tenants to begin moving in from August –
Paisley North MSP Wendy Alexander was lucky enough to be given a sneak preview of the new homes being built in Linwood. The Sanctuary Housing development in Linwood is to have its first houses completed in early October. Of the 190 new build homes 165 are for rent.
All homes have front and back doors and everyone is to have patio doors with their own garden. 10 Residents from the Armour Place, the site above Linwood Town Centre Regeneration, will get the first homes crucially allowing work on the Tesco shopping centre to begin.
Wendy said:
“I am delighted to have a sneak preview of Sanctuary’s 190 new homes. Every one will have a back and front door, patio doors and some en suites. The quality of fittings is great. And tenants will start to move in from August.”
“The handover of these new homes will allow demolition and rebuilding work on the town centre to get underway very quickly.”
Nicola McLaughlin is one of the lucky residents who will be making the move from Amour Place, above the shopping centre, to her new home in Linwood.
Nicola said:
“I am so excited. I can’t wait. I found out at the end of last year that I was getting a new home. When we found out it could not have come at a better time.”
“I have a six year old daughter who now will have her own garden to play in. This opportunity means a better life for all of us.”
“I am so grateful for Sanctuary Housing for giving me an opportunity like this. I will now have a proper home to call my own.”
