“I condemn plans to close Kilallen. This is about cutting costs. The SNP-Liberal council plans to save £324,227 by cutting eight posts. Day Care Officers, Day Care Co-ordinators, Centre Managers and Escort Attendants will all go.

The SNP in Renfrewshire have already done enough to victimise our elderly – forcing them to pay for community alarms, forcing them to pay for attending a day care centre, closing the centre serving Linwood and now cutting eight posts dedicated for caring for our elderly.

It is a disgrace – the SNP should think again. The community in Renfrewshire care about our elderly and they should not be hit again”.
