Wendy hails favourable decision

Tesco has now received confirmation that Scottish Ministers will not be calling in the planning application approved by Renfrewshire Council in December.

Wendy Alexander MSP said,
“I am delighted things are moving forward. The credit crunch cannot be allowed to slow the pace after all the years of delay the community has endured.”

“There are no more planning hurdles to overcome. I hope Tesco, the Council and the Health Board will all now move as quickly as possible to tie up the legal details, and get the demolition and new build underway”
