Wendy Makes Easter Environmental Pledge
Monday, 13th April 2009- Friends of the Earth Scotland Campaign -
Friends of the Earth Scotland have started a new environmental campaign encouraging people to pledge to do just one thing differently this year to help our environment.
Wendy Alexander has pledged to use eco-friendly washing up liquid, use washing and dryer balls and take all of her bottles to the bottle bank.
Wendy said:
“With two young children we are forever washing up and putting the washing machine on. So the right place for me to start was with a pledge to use eco-friendly washing up liquid and use washing and dryer balls in future. I added an extra pledge to take all of our bottles to the bottle bank. In truth this is an easy pledge as my children love the crashing noise of dropping bottles into the bank – so they are always ready to keep me right if I try and put glass in the bin!
“This is a great initiative by Friends of the Earth Scotland. We all need to take more personal responsibility when it comes to the environment and making a pledge is a good start.
“I encourage everyone to do their bit too by logging on to the Friends of the Earth Scotland website at www.spreadthelove.org.uk and going through the simple steps to make your pledge. This spring show how you care about climate change – you will be in good company!”
